On this day, I wish to convey Independence Day wishes to all of you present here and for those who are watching online. We should not forget the numerous freedom fighters whose sacrifice has helped this country achieve this freedom.  We all have an opportunity to pay tribute to them and also to work towards building our Nation.

On this occasion, first and foremost, I would like to convey my deep respect and gratitude to our ‘Covid Warriors’ Doctors, Nurses, Paramedical staff, Health staff, who have been on the forefront bravely fighting the pandemic.  Their selfless service in fighting the deadly virus, taking utmost care in treating us, guiding us to face this challenge bravely, needs the highest commendation.
