Parliament Debate
DR. M.K. VISHNU PRASAD (ARANI): Sir, in my Arani Constituency, there are two train projects from Tindivanam to Tiruvannamalai and Tindivanam to Nagari. They are having around 686 kilometers of stretch and it is in a ribbon shape. The land acquisition process is going on. The Government has given Rs. 200 crore but, unfortunately, somebody has gone to the Court and they want to
disburse the amount as per the old Act.

So, I urge upon the Union Government to interfere and tell the State Government to expedite the process of land acquisition and put these two railway projects into use so that the people get benefitted.

Secondly, there is one Polur Assembly Constituency in my Arani Parliamentary Constituency. I requested for stoppage of trains because it is the only railway station in my Constituency. So, I, once again, request the Union
Government to make arrangements for the stoppage of trains at Polur Assembly Constituency.
