The vigilance Awareness week -2019 Programme commencd at Salem Division. Shri U. Subba Rao Divisional Railway Manager Salem, administered the integrity pledge to officers and employees on 28.10.2019 at Divisional Office, Salem. Integrity pledges were also administered to employees at Major Railway stations of Salem division and Loco sheds and workshops over Salem division.

This year, The vigilance awareness week is being observed from 28th October to 2nd November 2019 on the theme “ Integrity – A Way of Life”. The Objective of the Vigilance awareness week is to bring alertness amongst the Public and government employees through pro active vigilance management to bring down the menace of corruption to Zero.

Awareness programmes, Seminars, Walkathons, Ticket checking drives, Compliants redressal camps, Competitions for staff and students of School/Colleges will be conducted in connection with the Vigilance awareness week.  Today On 30.10.2019 As a part of Vigilance Awareness Week, A mass Walkathon has been organized from Divisional office to Salem Jn in this Programme Employees of Salem division has Participated. Walkathon has been flagged off by Shri U. Subba Rao Divisional Railway Manager, Salem, Shri A. Annadurai Additional Divisional Railway Manager , Shri E. Harikrishnan Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Salem and Shri Thirumurugan Divisional Personnel Officer Salem is presented and participated in Mega Walkathon.

As  a part of Vigilance Week Celebrations, On 30.10.2019 Shri E. Harikrishnan Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Salem has conducted a Debate among the Railway employees and Students from Sona College of Engineering in the debate titled,
“ Is Educational System Playing a Vital role in Curbing Corruption and Does Vigilance Lead to Good governance” and Prizes were distributed to winners and created awareness about the role of Vigilance and Importance of Vigilance among the Railway employees.
